Icelandic legends say this northern island once was home to giants and trolls, but today it is home to some sixty types of birds, including the only nesting site of the tiny dovekie. A guide will take you on an evening walk around the island, still bright under the Midnight Sun. You’ll also see how Grimsey’s 120 inhabitants live in this remote part of Iceland. Upon the tour’s end, you will receive a certificate to prove you have flown over the Arctic Circle. Hint: Bring binoculars for birdwatching and wear good outdoor walking shoes.
