Departure Day:
Depart from North America on evening flight (all gateways) or afternoon flight (Boston or New York).
Complimentary snacks, soft drinks and in-seat entertainment system during flight. Meals, headsets and blankets available for purchase or provide your own.

Day 1 Arrival Day: After going through customs, head to the Fly Bus waiting at the curb outside the airport.Give your Fly Bus transfer (included in documents) to driver or attendant on bus. Transfer to hotel in Reykjavik for your first night in Iceland. There should be a pack of documents concerning your journey for you at the hotel. (No meals included today)

Day 2: Transfer on your own to the Reykjavik domestic airport. (Travel time about 5- 10 minutes; taxis plentiful) for a morning flight over the central highlands to Egilsstadir, a charming village near a glacial river. Pick up your rental car from the airport. It's time to explore hidden corners like the isolated fjord Borgarfjordur, the lovely Hallormsstadur forest (the largest manmade forest in Iceland) and Lake Logurinn, home to a legendary sea serpent. You might also opt to visit the Husey farm, a paradise for nature enthusiasts. Here you can find many species of birds and seals. (admission not included in price) (Transfers from hotel to Reykjavik airport NOT included) (B)

Day 3: Thread your way along steep, winding roads rewarding you with breathtaking views of sea and mountains. Delight in tiny fishing villages cradled in majestic fjords - make sure the camera's ready! Optional activities (arranged in Iceland): Boat tour to Papey Island, Visit to Petra's Stone Collection (B)

Day 4: Continue south, passing the magnificent Vatnajokull glacier. You?ll also have a great view of Jokulsarlonid, the Glacial Lagoon. Many movies have been filmed here, and you might want to stop and take pictures yourself! Visit Skaftafell Park, a green oasis amid the glaciers, and hike to view Svartifoss, a waterfall framed in basalt columns. Head over vast sand plains created by the residue from melting glaciers en route to your overnight in the beautiful, green Kirkjubaejarklaustur area. Optional activities (arranged in Iceland): Boat tour on the Glacial Lagoon, Jeep tour onto Vatnajokull Glacier, glacier hiking in Skaftafell National Park. (B)

Day 5: Follow the south coast through a vast lava field to Vik, known for its magnificent basalt beaches and bird cliffs. Stop and enjoy the view of Skogafoss Fall with its buried treasure and Myrdalsjokull glacier glittering in the distance. If you have a 4WD off road vehicle and a taste for adventure, take an inland track to the colorful mountains and hot spring-fed river at Landmannalaugar. (This inland track is open late Jun-mid August) Overnight in South Iceland. Optional activities (arranged in Iceland): snowmobiling on Myrdalsjokull Glacier, Vik boat tour, Skogar Folk Museum. (B)

Day 6: Today visit Iceland's beloved Golden Circle: the Gullfoss Falls, the powerful Geysir spouting hot spring and historic Thingvellir National Park en route to the capital. River rafting can be found in the area. Drop off your car. Overnight at hotel in Reykjavik. Enjoy your last night in Iceland, perhaps at one of the city's many fine restaurants! Optional activities (arranged in Iceland): River rafting in the Geysir area, ATV Quad biking in Haukadalur Valley. (B)

Day 7: Fly Bus transfer to Keflavik airport. Dinner on flight. Complimentary snacks, soft drinks and in-seat entertainment system during flight. Meals, headsets and blankets available for purchase or provide your own. (B)

A final official list will be sent with your documents. Hotels are selected at the discretion of the tour operator and many may be boarding schools.
