F.A.Q
Travelling to the USA:Passports/Visas and Apis
Icelandair (like all other airlines) is required to adhere to the Advance Passenger Information System (APIS), which requires the collection of specific information from every passenger travelling on all flights to/from the United States.
Travellers must supply Advance Passenger Information at time of check-in or they will be unable to travel.
Following is a list of information required:
- Gender
- Nationality
- Country of residence
- Travel document type (normally passport)
- Travel document number (expiry date and country of issue for passport)
- Destination address in the U.S. (Not required for U.S. citizens, Legal Permanent Residents, or Alien Residents of the U.S. entering the U.S.)
In order to minimize the delays at check-in due to this new procedure it is important that all travellers provide as much APIS information as possible before departure.
If you are travelling to the United States on Icelandair, please click here to add this information to your Icelandair reservation.
