From Reykjavík City Airport (RKV) to Akureyri Airport (AEY), the flight takes only 45 minutes and operates several times a day, all year round. Akureyri is Iceland’s second largest urban area after the capital area of Reykjavík, with a population of over 19,000. A naturally beautiful town, it is situated on one of the longest fjords in the country and features a mild climate with summer temperatures up to 25°C.

From Akureyri you can also take a short flight or the ferry to the island of Grímsey and step across the Arctic Circle!
