For the first time Icelandair carries more than 300.000 passengers in one month
Around noon tomorrow, July 31, the 300 thousandth Icelandair passenger in the month of July will leave one of our aircraft. This marks the first time in history Icelandair carries more than 300 thousand passengers in one month. The old record was held by last year’s July when we carried 276,600 passengers. This time of year Icelandair has around 10 thousand passengers per day in 62 flights, and an Icelandair aircraft is landing or taking off every 11 minutes on average.
Icelandair offers flights from 4 airports in the UK to Iceland and onwards to 10 cities in USA and Canada. The schedule consists of 2 daily flights from London Heathrow, 5 times weekly from London Gatwick, 4 times weekly from Glasgow and 3 times weekly from Manchester.
