Race across the snowy tundra, breathe in the fresh cool air and feel the adrenaline pumping.
All around you the diverse scenery is simply breath-taking, with glaciers rising majestically to the north and miles of coastal black sand beaches to the south. While you peacefully sail across the frozen expanse of Iceland’s fourth-largest glacier, the majesty of Iceland’s ever-changing relationship with Mother Nature is more evident with the infamous subglacial volcano Katla lurking just beneath.
A generous amount of time is provided with approximately 45 minutes at each major stop on this tour, including the waterfalls Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, plus the glaciers Solheimajökull and Myrdalsjökull. Your snowmobile ride will be approximately 1 hour as part of the 3-3.5 hours spent on the glacier.
What do I bring? A few things! Lunch for your break on the glacier, good outdoor shoes, and since weather changes can be sudden and frequently unexpected, bring warm, waterproof clothes including jacket, pants, headwear and gloves.
