In 2022 we updated our livery – the way our planes look – with new colors drawn from Icelandic nature, including the beloved northern lights.
Our livery is like a flying billboard. And since we spend so much time in the sky, we drew inspiration from what we see around us while we’re flying, and what we see in our country from above.
Our base colors are midnight blue and white. The new palette used in our aircraft tail colors includes boreal blue, magenta, sky blue, yellow, and green.
We’re so fond of our volcanoes, glaciers, and other natural wonders that we’ve named our aircraft after them. After all, Iceland is famous for its spectacular landscapes. Each aircraft bears the moniker of an Icelandic attraction, including Esja, the iconic mountain backdrop of Reykjavík, and Fagradalsfjall, a volcano that erupted in 2021-23.
Our topographic textile collection (including blankets, pillows, and headrests) is inspired by a bird’s-eye view of Icelandic nature from the skies above. The collection is primarily produced from sustainable materials.
