Iceland is open

These days, the rules of travel are fast-changing, with governments taking necessary precautions. Iceland is ready to welcome you, and there are a few things to bear in mind for your visit.

Note that passport-holders from the Schengen area, UK, Canada and other select countries are welcome, but we do not yet have a date for US passport-holders. Please check our flight schedule for the airports that we fly from.

All arrivals must pre-register. For now, all visitors must undergo COVID-19 testing and 4 to 6-day quarantine upon arrival. Note that this requirement is regularly reviewed. Read more about the rules for arrivals in our FAQ.

We’re ready when you’re ready to escape the confines of COVID lockdown. If you’re not sure where to start, Iceland has wide open spaces (and Europe's lowest population density), a reputation as the world’s safest country, and has gained global attention for the effective way it has handled the coronavirus.

In Iceland you can reconnect with nature, stretch your legs on quiet hiking trails, soak in geothermal pools, and explore under the midnight sun. Because we know that you missed these wide open adventures. And just quietly, we missed you too.

Our sister airline Air Iceland Connect flies from Reykjavík to Ísafjörður in the Westfjords, Egilsstaðir in East Iceland, and Akureyri in North Iceland – and from these regional bases, Iceland's pristine nature is at your doorstep.
