Have you heard of Iceland’s fabled Golden Circle? It’s not just the name of a tour, but also named after one of the most beautiful regions in Iceland! You'll visit the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall and the famous geothermal area of Geysir where the geysers are guaranteed to erupt with spouting water and steam every few minutes (it likes to show off!). You'll also visit Thingvellir National Park to see the geologic rift between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates, as well as the original site of Alþingi, the world’s oldest parliament. Top off your day at the Fontana Geothermal Spa, a modern complex built above a hot spring bubbling below ground, allowing you to relax in the Spa's naturally-heated hot tubs and steam baths. Before returning to Reykjavik, you'll also be offered some traditional, delicious Icelandic rye bread slow-baked in the natural hot springs.
