Iceland Airwaves: 2019 Packages, New Line-Up Announcements

The fourth and final announcement has landed!

This week, the Airwaves music aficionados stretched their muscles one last time, and put together the final list of artists involved in Reykjavík's biggest party: Iceland Airwaves, being held from November 6 to 9, 2019.

This year's festival promises to be another stunner, bringing together more than 130 bands from 20 countries (including homegrown heroes Of Monsters and Men). We are incredibly proud that Iceland Airwaves has achieved equal gender balance for the second year running, with a 50/50 split on the lineup.

For the complete lineup and all the festival details, see the Iceland Airwaves website. Come and join us in November to rock the coolest little capital on Earth!

Welcome to fall! The sun is shining in Reykjavík and the northern lights have returned to the dark evening skies. Iceland Airwaves is one of fall's highlights, when the Icelandic capital hosts "the biggest party in the Northern Hemisphere," with music to be found all over town, in venues large and small.

As a taster for the festival, today - Monday September 2 - we have Helge from the Netherlands playing his smooth indie sounds to our passengers in the Icelandair Saga Lounge at Keflavík airport.

Join us live on Instagram from 2pm (GMT) to enjoy the show.

Hey music lovers! Did you see the big announcement from Iceland Airwaves last month? Hometown heroes Of Monsters and Men will headline the festival in November.

But the Airwaves team never rests, and this week they announced the next wave of acts for November’s party. One of the biggest names in the third line-up announcement is ‘adopted Icelander’ John Grant, who will be performing two intimate shows. There’s more (of course), from Cautious Clay – named one of Rolling Stone’s “30 Best Artists We Saw at SXSW” – to much-loved Airwaves favorites Agent Fresco.

So now we’re well into summer, and no-one wants to wish the year away. But in Reykjavík we're getting excited for November and one of our very favorite times of the year.

This year's festival dates are 6 to 9 November, and this year the event celebrates its 21st edition. That's right: 21 times bringing the hottest bands from Iceland, Europe, the Americas and beyond to rock the coolest little capital on Earth. Come and join us!

First announcement

The first line-up announcement was made in February.
