Bogi Nils a été nommé PDG d'Icelandair Group en décembre 2018 après avoir occupé le poste de Directeur financier depuis 2008. Il a été Directeur financier d’Askar Capital à partir de janvier 2007 et jusqu’à son arrivée au sein d'Icelandair Group. Il a également été Directeur financier du groupe Icelandic entre 2004 et 2006. Bogi Nils a été commissaire aux comptes et associé au sein de KPMG en Islande entre 1993 et 2004. Titulaire d’un diplôme Cand Oecon en Commerce de l’Université d’Islande, Bogi Nils est devenu comptable agréé en 1998.

Arnar Már has extensive experience in airline operations. He was one of the founders of Play in 2019, where he served as CEO during the first years of service and then as Chief Operating Officer from 2021 to 2024, and served also as Deputy CEO for some time, in addition to serving as Training Captain since 2019. Arnar Már previously worked for WOW air, from 2013 to 2019, where he served as Chief Operating Officer, Director of Flight Operations, Chief Pilot and Training Captain. Prior to that, he worked as a pilot and captain at Ryan air.

Árni a été nommé Directeur Général de Loftleiðir Icelandic en janvier 2018, après avoir occupé le poste de Directeur financier de l'entreprise depuis 2002. Avant cela, il était Directeur financier des sociétés de technologie islandaises ANZA et Alit. Il est titulaire d'un diplôme Cand. Oecon en Gestion des entreprises de l'Université d'Islande.

Einar Már Guðmundsson was appointed Managing Director Air Freight and Logistics in September 2023. He has worked for Icelandair since 2015 as a Director at the company’s Technical Operations. Previously, Einar Már was the Leader of Procurement at Rio Tinto Alcan (ISAL) for three years and before that he was the Operations Manager of Skeljungur. Einar Már has an MBA degree from Copenhagen Business School and a BS degree in Science of Fisheries from the University of Akureyri.

Elísabet Helgadóttir a été nommée Directrice des Ressources Humaines en janvier 2018. Elle a travaillé à la Direction des Ressources Humaines à Islandsbanki depuis 2007, et en tant que Responsable de l'évolution de carrière au cours des cinq dernières années. Ses missions au sein d’Islandsbanki comprenaient la supervision de la formation du personnel, la formation en gestion, l’accompagnement professionnel et la gestion des performances. De 2000 à 2007, elle a travaillé pour Capacent Gallup, en recherche et conseil. Elisabet a obtenu une Licence en psychologie à l'université d'Islande en 2000, ainsi qu'un diplôme en Gestion des Ressources Humaines à l'École de Commerce EADA à Barcelone en 2007. 

Ívar S. Kristinsson a rejoint l'entreprise en 2010 en tant que Directeur Général de la Gestion des Ressources, et il occupe le poste de Directeur Général de la flotte d'Icelandair depuis le mois de mai 2018. Avant cela, il était Directeur des Opérations chez Promens de 2006 à 2008, et Chef de projet chez Icelandair de 2000 à 2005. Ívar est titulaire d'un Master en Ingénierie industrielle de l'Université d'Islande, et d'une maîtrise en gestion de la finance des entreprises de l'Université de Caroline du Nord, Chapel Hill.

Leifur’s aviation experience spans nearly 30 years, both in Iceland and abroad. He has served as Vice President, Technical and Maintenance at Icelandair since 2021 after having led technical and maintenance operations at Loftleidir Icelandic, Icelandair's charter arm, and at Air Iceland Connect before Icelandair’s domestic flight operations were merged with its international operations. From 2014 to 2017, Leifur was Vice President of Fleet at Avion Express in Lithuania and Director within Operations at SmartLynx Airlines in Latvia during 2009-2014. Leifur began his career in aviation in 1998 as an aircraft maintenance technician at Air Iceland, where he worked for over 10 years in various positions in the technical field.

Rakel has served as Chief Digital Officer since March 2022 and assumed the additional role of Chief Transformation Officer in June 2024. She joined Icelandair from pharmaceutical company Alvotech where she served as Chief Information Officer (CIO). Before that she was CIO and VP of Global Program Management Office at the international orthopedics company Össur. Prior to that, Rakel worked for 14 years at Arion Bank where she served as Managing Director of Corporate Development and Marketing from 2011 and was CIO from 2016 where she led the successful digital transformation of the bank. Rakel has an MBA from Duke University in the US and a B.Sc. degree in computer science from the University of Iceland.

En février, Tómas a été nommé Chargé des informations d'un nouveau département, Développement numérique et Technologie de l'information. Il a été Chargé commercial en Chef de WOW air en 2018, et Directeur de la numérisation rapide de Arion Bank de 2016 à 2018. Tómas était Responsable du Développement de l'entreprise de WOW air en 2014. Il était avant cela Consultant en gestion de la société Bain à Copenhague, et a été Directeur de la Gestion des revenus et de la tarification chez Icelandair pendant plusieurs années. Tómas est titulaire d'une Maîtrise en gestion de la MIT Sloan School of Management de Boston, et d'un Master d'Ingénierie de la logistique et de la Gestion de la chaîne logistique, ainsi que d'une Licence en Ingénierie industrielle de l'Université d'Islande.
