Yes, the booking will be automatically transferred to Icelandair and you will receive a new ticket from Icelandair to the email address listed in the booking.

Customers who have a booking with Air Iceland Connect (AIC) will be transferred to the corresponding fare category with Icelandair:

• Those who booked AIC Light move to Icelandair's Economy Standard.
• Those who booked AIC Classic move to Icelandair's Economy Standard.
• Those who booked AIC Flexible will transfer to Icelandair's Economy Flex.

You have the option to cancel your booking and receive a Travel Credit Voucher that is valid for 3 years.

You can find your booking under My Journey on our website. To change the booking, enter your last name and the booking reference number that you will receive by email.

The checked baggage allowance on domestic flights will increase from 20 kg to 23 kg. 

The carry-on baggage allowance is unchanged at 6 kg.

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to book flights to Norlandair destinations through Icelandair's website. All bookings to Norlandair destinations will therefore be handled by Norlandair from March 16.

Passengers are advised to contact Norlandair if existing bookings need to be changed or for other inquiries regarding booked flights.

Yes, if you meet the requirements of Loftbrú, you are entitled to a 40% discount on the total fare for scheduled domestic flights to and from the capital area. 

You can use the code from Loftbrú in Icelandair's booking process. If you choose a flight between Reykjavík and other destinations in Iceland, you can select Loftbrú in the booking engine.

No, from March 16 it is not possible to use the Ferðagjöf (travel voucher from the Icelandic government in 2020) as a payment method.

From March 16, the same booking engine will be used to book domestic and international flights on Icelandair's website.

Yes it will be possible from March 16. Passengers should be aware that they will be required to pick up their own baggage, travel between the international airport at Keflavík and the domestic airport in Reykjavík, and check in for the domestic flight.

The Faroese airline Atlantic Airways has operated flights between the Faroe Islands and Keflavík Airport, and these flights have been bookable through the Air Iceland Connect website.

Unfortunately it will not be possible to book flights to/from the Faroe Islands using the Icelandair website at this time. Customers are encouraged to book directly through the website of Atlantic Airways.

Even though it is not possible to book a direct flight from Iceland to the Faroe Islands, thanks to our interline agreement with Atlantic Airways, it is possible to book a connecting flight to the Faroes from North America or Europe, transiting through Iceland.

Saga Gold and Saga Silver members will enjoy increased baggage benefits on domestic flights, as they currently do on international flights. The will also be given priority on the waiting list.

As with international flights, Saga Gold members will earn 20% more Tier Credits for domestic flights, and Saga Silver members will earn 10% more.
