Bogi Nils Bogason wurde im Dezember 2018 zum CEO der Icelandair Group ernannt. Davor war er seit 2008 als Finanzdirektor tätig. Ehe er zur Icelandair Group kam, war er seit Januar 2007 Finanzdirektor bei Askar Capital. Vor dieser Aufgabe war er von 2004 bis 2006 Finanzdirektor der Icelandic Group. Bogi Nils Bogason war von 1993 bis 2004 als Auditor und Partner bei KPMG in Island tätig. Er hat einen Cand.oecon. Abschluss in Wirtschaftswissenschaften der Universität Island und wurde 1998 als Wirtschaftsprüfer zugelassen.

Arnar Már has extensive experience in airline operations. He was one of the founders of Play in 2019, where he served as CEO during the first years of service and then as Chief Operating Officer from 2021 to 2024, and served also as Deputy CEO for some time, in addition to serving as Training Captain since 2019. Arnar Már previously worked for WOW air, from 2013 to 2019, where he served as Chief Operating Officer, Director of Flight Operations, Chief Pilot and Training Captain. Prior to that, he worked as a pilot and captain at Ryan air.

Im Januar 2018 wurde er zum Geschäftsführer von Loftleiðir Icelandic berufen. Zuvor war Hermannsson seit 2002 als Chief Financial Officer des Unternehmens tätig. Vor dieser Zeit arbeitete er als Chief Financial Officer der isländischen Technologieunternehmen ANZA und Alit. Er hat einen Cand. Oecon Abschluss in Business Administration von der Universität von Island.

Einar Már Guðmundsson was appointed Managing Director Air Freight and Logistics in September 2023. He has worked for Icelandair since 2015 as a Director at the company’s Technical Operations. Previously, Einar Már was the Leader of Procurement at Rio Tinto Alcan (ISAL) for three years and before that he was the Operations Manager of Skeljungur. Einar Már has an MBA degree from Copenhagen Business School and a BS degree in Science of Fisheries from the University of Akureyri.

Elísabet Helgadóttir wurde im Januar 2018 zu Direktorin für das Personalwesen ernannt. Seit 2007 war sie im Bereich „Personalmanagement“ bei Islandsbanki tätig. In den letzten fünf Jahren ihrer Tätigkeit dort hatte sie die Position der Leiterin „Berufliche Entwicklung“ inne. Zu ihren Aufgaben bei Islandsbanki zählte die Aufsicht über Aus- und Weiterbildung, Managementtraining, Coaching von Führungskräften und Leistungsmanagement der Mitarbeiter. Von 2000 bis 2007 war sie für Capacent Gallup im Bereich „Forschung und Beratung“ tätig. Elísabet Helgadóttir hat im Jahr 2000 einen BA Abschluss in Psychologie an der Universität Island und im Jahr 2007 einen Abschluss in Personalmanagement an der EADA Business School in Barcelona gemacht. 

Ívar S. Kristinsson war seit Mai 2018 als Geschäftsführer für die Flotte von Icelandair verantwortlich, nachdem er seit 2010 als Geschäftsführer für Ressourcenmanagement im Unternehmen war. Zuvor war er von 2006 bis 2008 Direktor des operativen Bereichs bei Promens und Projektmanager bei Icelandair von 200 bis 2005. Kristinsson hat einen MSc. Abschluss in Industriedesign von der Universität von Island sowie einen MBA in Corporate Finance der Universität von North Carolina, Chapel Hill, USA.

Leifur’s aviation experience spans nearly 30 years, both in Iceland and abroad. He has served as Vice President, Technical and Maintenance at Icelandair since 2021 after having led technical and maintenance operations at Loftleidir Icelandic, Icelandair's charter arm, and at Air Iceland Connect before Icelandair’s domestic flight operations were merged with its international operations. From 2014 to 2017, Leifur was Vice President of Fleet at Avion Express in Lithuania and Director within Operations at SmartLynx Airlines in Latvia during 2009-2014. Leifur began his career in aviation in 1998 as an aircraft maintenance technician at Air Iceland, where he worked for over 10 years in various positions in the technical field.

Rakel has served as Chief Digital Officer since March 2022 and assumed the additional role of Chief Transformation Officer in June 2024. She joined Icelandair from pharmaceutical company Alvotech where she served as Chief Information Officer (CIO). Before that she was CIO and VP of Global Program Management Office at the international orthopedics company Össur. Prior to that, Rakel worked for 14 years at Arion Bank where she served as Managing Director of Corporate Development and Marketing from 2011 and was CIO from 2016 where she led the successful digital transformation of the bank. Rakel has an MBA from Duke University in the US and a B.Sc. degree in computer science from the University of Iceland.

Tómas Ingason wurde im Februar zum Chief Information Officer einer neuen Sparte berufen, Digital Development and Information Technology. 2018 war er Chief Commercial Officer bei WOW Air und von 2016 bis 2018 Director of Rapid Digitization bei der Arion Bank. Tómas Ingason war 2014 Chief Business Development Officer bei WOW Air. Zuvor arbeitete er als Management Berater bei Bain & Company in Kopenhagen sowie einige Jahre als Director of Revenue Management and Pricing bei Icelandair. Ingason hat einen MBA Abschluss von der MIT Sloan School of Management in Boston, einen MSc. Abschluss in Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management sowie einen BSc. Abschluss in Industriedesign von der Universität von Island.
