Our most popular choice year-round

Book this popular City Break to one of Iceland’s top attractions, including flights, hotel and a full day tour of the awe-inspiring Golden Circle!

This memorable holiday brings you to the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall and the famous geothermal area of Geysir. There you’ll marvel at Strokkur geyser which spouts water and steam with amazing force every few minutes.

You'll also visit Thingvellir National Park to explore the geologic rift between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates, and see the original site of the world’s oldest parliament, Alþingi.

Did someone say tomatoes? On your journey you'll stop at Friðheimar greenhouse and restaurant, where local Icelandic farmers grow tomatoes year-round using energy from the geothermal heat found under Iceland’s surface.

Add up to three additional nights in Iceland and enjoy even more free time to explore Reykjavík or wherever else your curiosity leads you. Let our exciting day tours lead the way!

Book with confidence - our Simply Travel policy offers additional flexibility, above and beyond our standard Terms and Conditions.

Day 1Welcome to Iceland!

Check in at your hotel in Reykjavik and get comfortable for your stay in Iceland. Take a stroll and explore the charm and allure of Old Town Reykjavik and enjoy the Nordic vibe of the town. There's plenty of lovely restaurants to choose from for a bite to eat. Check out one of the many tours available for booking, including whale watching and horse riding.

Day 2Day at your own leisure

Day at your own leisure. You can customise your trip with day tours from the popular Golden Circle tour to snorkelling a fissure between two tectonic plates or spend time snowmobiling on glaciers, visit the steaming geysers or go whale watching. You will also have time to enjoy the cosy cafes and lively local nightlife.

Day 3Golden Circle tour

Today you venture out on the Golden Circle tour, including a visit to the world-famous Geysir geothermal area, a field where hot springs are in abundance, geysers explode and pools of mud bubble. It also takes you to see the Gullfoss, the queen of Iceland's waterfalls. Finally, but no less spectacular is a visit to the Thingvellir National Park, the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world. The Great Atlantic rift is clearly visible in the park, a rift that is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates. Hotel pick up at 08:30 hours.

Day 4 (note: you can extend your trip!)Explore more of Iceland

Extend your holiday and have an extra day in Reykjavik or the surrounding area. There is plenty to see and do within the city centre, or you could choose to venture out and experience the breathtaking Icelandic nature for yourself.

Your final dayReturn flight home

Bid farewell to Iceland (for now!) before heading to Keflavik for your return flight home on Icelandair!
