One of the perks of booking your flight directly with us – on our website or through our customer center – is that you can request the seat of your choice.
Seat selection is included in the ticket for Economy Standard and Economy Flex. The seating area at the front of the cabin is available for passengers on both of these fares, but Economy Standard passengers must pay for these seats.
Seat selection is not included in the ticket on Economy Light. You will be assigned a seat free of charge. However, you can select your preferred seat anywhere in the cabin, for a fee.
Seat selection is included in the ticket on Saga Premium and Saga Premium Flex.
The price varies according to fare type and route. You pay per flight leg.

If you cannot select seats during the booking process, it doesn't imply the flight is full. It simply means that the remaining seats will be assigned at the airport. If you've paid for your flight, you're assured a seat on board.
Please note: if your journey involves multiple airlines, you might not be able to select your seats during the booking process. In such cases, your seat will be allocated to you at the airport.
You can select your preferred seat directly when you check in. Online check-in is available 24 hours prior to departure for all destinations operated by Icelandair.
