** Fare conversion from round-trip to one-way fare is solely permitted for return flights. The conversion must retain the original date, flight number, and destination of the return leg. Fare conversion must be requested to our service center a minimum of three hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the first flight in the ticket.

Fare difference

The fare will be recalculated, and the new price will be based on the lowest available fare at the time the change is made, provided that this fare is at least the same price or higher than the ticket’s current fare. It is not possible to change to a cheaper fare.

The difference between the new fare and the fare originally paid becomes the fare difference. In addition to any fare difference, a change fee may apply according to the current price list. The change fee is calculated based on the exchange rate of the currency used at the point of departure for the first flight on the ticket.

The passenger will be given the choice either to accept the new price or to keep the booking as it was originally planned.

Combining fares in a single booking

For round-trip travel, there are restrictions on which fares can be combined:

• Economy Light fares can only be combined with other Economy Light fares
• Economy Standard fare + Saga Premium fare – may be combined (you can fly Economy Standard one way and Saga Premium the other)
• Economy Flex fare + Saga Premium Flex fare – may be combined (you can fly Economy Flex one way and Saga Premium Flex the other)

Note that when fares are combined and you wish to make changes, change fees apply when:

• Only 1 flight segment is being changed and a change fee applies to that segment.
• The higher change fee applies if both segments are being changed.

The general service fee is charged when a chargeable service is added to the booking through an Icelandair representative. This fee applies to both package and flight bookings. The fee currency depends on the point of origin and is converted to the sales currency.

If a name is spelled incorrectly, you can have it changed by contacting our service center.

Name changes or ticket transfers (for example, Mary Smith to John Fraser) are not permitted, except for legal name change reasons (such as gender reassignment or name changes due to marriage).

Seat Selection

Economy fares: seat selection is included in the ticket on Economy Standard and Economy Flex. The seating area at the front of the cabin is available for passengers on both of these fares, but Economy Standard passengers must pay for these seats. Seat selection is not included in the ticket on Economy Light, you will be assigned a seat free of charge. However, you can select your preferred seat anywhere in the cabin, for a fee. Saga fares: Seat selection is included in the ticket on Saga Premium and Saga Premium Flex.

Please note: Porter PD is an interline partner of Icelandair, but check-in from Reykjavik to Porter PD destinations via Boston Logan International or Washington Dulles International airports is not available. If you are traveling onward via Porter PD from Boston or Dulles, you will need to check in at these airports.
