Saga Gold members

Upon presentation of a Saga Gold Card, members can request a complimentary upgrade on seat and service& from Economy Standard and Flex to Saga Premium. Upgrades are arranged if possible. Saga Gold spouses also enjoy upgrade benefits if the spouse has a spouse Saga Gold card. Saga Gold upgrades from Economy Light to Saga Premium are not available.

Things to consider

• At Keflavik Airport, upgrades should be requested at the Icelandair Saga Lounge.
• At airports outside Iceland, upgrades can be requested at check-in if space permits, but should otherwise be requested at the departure gate.
• The food service can be different from the standard food service of the respective class. 
• The fare conditions remain unchanged. Points earned, baggage allowance and other fare conditions are according to originally purchased fare.
• Please note that Saga Gold benefits only apply when traveling on Icelandair’s scheduled flights with FI flight number, not when traveling on SK, AY or B6 ticketed flight numbers on Icelandair operated flights.
• It is not possible to upgrade to a More Legroom seat in Economy.
• It is not possible to upgrade when travelling in Economy Light from February 1, 2020. 
• Upgrades are a benefit that Icelandair will try to fulfill to the fullest extent though in some cases, Icelandair might have to withdraw the upgrade that has been made, e.g., when there has been a change of aircraft, a change in the availability of seats in Saga Premium, or for other such reasons.
• Please note that an upgrade with an infant (under 2 years of age) is allowed if the infant is in the parents' lap. Upgrades with infants in their own seat or older children are not allowed.

Saga Silver members

Silver members, main cardholders, are offered a complimentary upgrade on seat and service to Saga Premium once during their Silver Card’s validity period. Upgrades are arranged if possible. The Silver upgrade can be booked through the Icelandair Call Center two months prior to departure, but no later than 24 hours before departure. It cannot be arranged at the airport. Members can choose to use the upgrade for one round-trip booking or in two different one-way bookings. Additionally, main cardholders can offer their spouse or travel companion to get an upgrade as well. This upgrade is limited to one flight leg and the main cardholder must be travelling with the beneficiary of the upgrade.

• Please note that Saga Silver benefits only apply when traveling on Icelandair’s scheduled flight with an FI flight numbers and a ticket number that starts with 108. They do not apply when traveling on SK, AY or B6 ticketed flight numbers on flights operated by Icelandair.

Saga Gold members

Have access to all lounges that Icelandair is in collaboration with upon departure and can invite one guest to those lounges. When travelling through Keflavik Airport members have access to the Saga Lounge upon arrival and departure. Saga Gold members can invite one guest as well as their children up to 18 years of age to Saga Lounge and for a special summer offer, Saga Gold members can also invite one more guest for a fee, here is more information.

Members need to present the Saga Gold card and a boarding card when checking in to the lounges.

Passengers that are travelling from USA and check-in online must also check-in at the airport to get a valid boarding pass. To access lounges in New York (JFK), Orlando, Denver and in Paris (CDG) it is necessary to present an invitation which you receive at check-in.

Please note that Saga Gold benefits only apply when travelling on Icelandair´s scheduled flight on FI flight number, not when travelling on SK, AY or B6 ticketed flight numbers on Icelandair operating flights.

Saga Silver members

Have access to all lounges that Icelandair is in collaboration with, except for the SAS lounges in Scandinavia. When travelling through Keflavik Airport members have access to the Saga Lounge upon departure and can invite one guest and for a special summer offer, Saga Silver members can also invite an extra guest for a fee, here is more information. Saga Silver members can not invite a guest to lounges abroad, which is not in Iceland.

Members need to present the Saga Silver card and a boarding card when checking in to the lounge.

Can check in at Business Class counters. If Saga Gold and Saga Silver members are travelling with their family, they can also check in at Business Class counters.

If a flight is fully booked, a member who presents a card at an Icelandair sales office or quotes the card number by telephone will be put on a priority waiting list.

Please note that we cannot guarantee members a seat if the flight is fully booked.

Saga Gold and Saga Silver members

Saga Gold and Saga Silver get additional baggage benefits when they travel on a scheduled Icelandair flight. Saga Gold and Saga Silver members can travel with one extra bag in addition to the general baggage allowance, depending on the class of service. The baggage weight allowance is based on which cabin the Saga Gold and Saga Silver members are travelling on. Saga Gold and Saga Silver members are allowed to use the additional baggage benefits for small sports equipment which may count towards baggage allowance. To enjoy the baggage benefits, it's necessary to present a valid Saga Gold or Saga Silver card and ask specifically for the additional baggage benefit at the check-in counter.

Saga Gold members

Icelandair offers spouses of Saga Gold members a complimentary Saga Gold Card.

The card entitles spouses to various benefits such as lounge access, priority check-in, excess baggage, and complimentary seat upgrade.

The spouse card is valid for the same period as the main card.

Main cardholders can request a spouse card by dropping us a line.

Saga Silver members

Icelandair offers spouses of Saga Silver members a Saga Silver Card for a fee of ISK 13,900. The card entitles the spouse to the same benefits as the main cardholder, besides the upgrade which is only available for main cardholders.

The spouse card is valid for the same period as the main card.

Saga Gold members

Saga Gold members are offered private transfer service to and from Keflavik Airport for 8.000 ISK each way when traveling on Saga Premium. 

This is what you need to know

1. The private transfer service benefit will be available for members that travel on Saga Premium.
2. Saga Gold members pay 8.000 ISK each way. When travelling with a spouse cardholder the spouse pays only 3.000 additionally. When a spouse cardholder travels alone he/she pays 8.000. 
3. Children up to 12 years of age travel free. Children 12 years and older pay the same amount as spouse or 3.000 ISK.
4. This service needs to be booked at the latest the evening before the flight departure by calling +354 4201212 or  +354 5201212. 
5. The service is operated by a company called A-stodin and is available 24 hours. A-stodin will call approximately 30 minutes before the arrival of the car.
6. The service is limited to the greater Reykjavik area.
7. Saga Gold benefits only apply when travelling on Icelandair's scheduled flights.

In the event of changes of departure time, members will be informed as soon as possible.

If two Saga Gold members travel together they pay a total of 16.000 ISK each way. The service is only available for Saga Gold members and taking other passengers with that are not Saga Gold members is not permitted. To get the discount members must present a valid Saga Gold card.

Saga Gold members

Saga Gold members are entitled to parking at P1 parking area at departure area at Keflavik Airport without a charge for up to 7 days. The Saga Gold Card provides access to the parking area. There is a charge for each additional day beyond 7 days.

This is how you utilize the parking area:

1. Upon arrival to the P1 parking area, you access the parking area by inserting your Saga Gold Card into the parking machine.
2. Upon departure, you leave the parking area by inserting your Saga Gold Card into the parking machine.

Good to know:

• Members can only utilize the parking area when flying a scheduled Icelandair flight.
• Same Saga Gold Card must be used upon arrival and departure from the parking area.
• Members can use the parking area for up to 7 days without charge.
• Airport Parking charges 2.200 ISK for any usage beyond 7 days.
• Cars in the parking area are insured against damage caused by Icelandair but not against theft or damage caused by third party.
• If you have a problem using your Saga Gold Card upon arrival to the parking area we recommend that you take a ticket from the machine. Upon arrival to Iceland again you need to contact Airport Parking Service Desk before you go to your car. The service desk is located on the left after leaving the arrival hall. Their phone number is 425-6400.

Saga Gold members

Saga Gold members get complimentary Wi-Fi access on all scheduled Icelandair flights where it is available.

This is how you connect:

1. Make sure your mobile device is set to flight mode during all phases of the flight. Then activate Wi-Fi on your device as soon as the use of electronic equipment is permitted.
2. Choose the "Icelandair Internet Access" network.
3. Open your browser and then press "Get Wi-Fi. Select complimentary in step 3 and insert your Saga Club number.
4. Enjoy your complimentary Wi-Fi.

Saga Gold members

Saga Gold members can use a security fast-track at various Icelandair destinations. The service is complimentary, and the Saga Gold member simply shows their boarding card to use it. Therefore, it’s important that Saga Gold members register the Saga Club number in the booking before departure.
