The Icelandic Aircraft Mechanics’ Association has announced potential industrial action starting at 12:01am GMT (midnight) on September 23. In the event that the strike goes into force, we will make every effort to assist passengers in reaching their destination, but our schedule will be impacted while the strike lasts.
We‘re offering our passengers who have booked flights on September 23 and 24 to change their itinerary, subject to flight availability. To ensure this offer as well as other critical information reaches our customers, we kindly ask all passengers to verify that the correct contact information is listed using Manage Booking or the Icelandair app.
Please note that passengers who wish to make changes to their booking may do so directly via Manage Booking or in the Icelandair app.
Our Customer Service Center is currently experiencing high call volumes, and waiting times may be longer than usual. Flights on these dates are still on schedule, and we ask passengers who have received an offer to change their itinerary to please follow the instructions provided in the email.
