Check-in is available for flights to and from Europe and Canada within 36 hours of departure, and within 24 hours for flights to and from the USA. Online check-in is available for all destinations.


To begin the check-in process enter your surname and booking number.

Get your Boarding Pass in Passbook or Wallet.

You can access your Icelandair boarding pass with Passbook/Wallet, or store it to be scanned at the gate on the day of your flight – exactly like you would a paper boarding pass. Just open the link in the email confirmation you receive after checking in online through your home computer or mobile device. Your boarding passes will save directly to your Passbook/Wallet.

Please Note

In light of recent incidents related to battery issues in Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and the subsequent decision to recall these phones, the U.S. Department of Transportation prohibits passengers to bring them on board or to stow them in checked or hand luggage.

Make sure you have all the required documentation at hand before checking in. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Have your e-ticket and a form of identification available

Kiosks for Self-Service Check-in at Airport

Please note.

  • A maximum of 9 people can be checked-in online in a single booking.
  • Passengers with a connection flight through SAS can use the self-service check-in kiosks to check-in for the whole journey.

  • Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS)
  • Billund (BLL)
  • Boston (BOS)
  • Chicago O'Hare (ORD)
  • Copenhagen (CPH)
  • Denver (DEN)
  • Edmonton (YEG)
  • Frankfurt (FRA) will be available soon
  • London Heathrow Airport (LHR), located in Zone C in the check-in area
  • Montreal (YUL)
  • Oslo (OSL)
  • Paris (ORY and CDG) will be available soon
  • Seattle (SEA)
  • Stockholm Arlanda (ARN)
  • Vancouver (YVR)

At Keflavík, Billund and Copenhagen Airport there are self-service check-in stations to drop off your baggage. Make sure you´ve checked in at the kiosk to print out your bag tags.
