What's causing this?Icelandic aircraft mechanics (FVFÍ) have announced potential strike action from 00:01 on 23 September 2026. If it goes ahead, we expect it to affect flights on 23 - 24 September 2026. Negotiations are ongoing, and this offer will expire immediately if the strike is called off.Which flights are covered? All Icelandair operated flights to/from Keflavík (KEF) internationally, and to/from Reykjavík (RKV) domestically, traveling 23–24 September 2026.Can I rebook my clients ahead of time?Yes. We're offering a preemptive rebooking waiver so you can move affected bookings before any cancellation is confirmed, no rebooking fee, and any fare difference or tax balance can be waived. What are the new travel windows?International: rebook to travel between 16 September and 22 October 2026. Domestic: rebook to travel between 16 September and 1 October 2026. The offer itself runs from 16 September 2026 through the original travel date. Can I get a refund instead? No, this waiver covers rebooking only. Refunds still follow the ticket's standard fare rules. How do I apply the waiver?Enter the waiver code in the endorsement box: IAINT0926A for international flights, or IADOM0926A for domestic, followed by the original fare-restriction entry. Automated tools like Amadeus Ticket Changer work fine. Waiver applies for FI flights only.
