Golden Iceland Retreat

Includes the new Laugarás lagoon!

Be among the first to discover and experience the Golden Circle´s newest attraction, Laugarás Lagoon. Nestled along the banks of the Hvítá river and surrounded by serene mountain views, this geothermal lagoon offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and modern comfort. It features cascading pools, a forest sauna and inviting spaces for a nice relacation.

But your adventure will first begin by chasing the Northern Lights by boat when you step aboard for a magical night under the Arctic skies. The Northern Lights by boat tour takes you away from the city lights and into the dark night with a better chance of spotting the lights. As you search, your guide will share both scientific and mythical stories about the Aurora Borealis. The boat is designed for sightseeing, with an open deck for panoramic views, so wrap up in warm clothes and enjoy. There is also a cozy indoor seating area to keep you warm.
Please note: This tour is subject to sea and weather conditions. If it's canceled or if the Northern Lights don't appear, your tour operator will provide another Northern Lights tour for free, based on availability.

On your Golden Circle and Laugarás lagoon tour, explore also some of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders. Visit the powerful Gullfoss waterfall and experience a geyser eruption up close in the Geysir geothermal area (yes, it’s guaranteed!).
You finalize the day by walking through the historically significant Þingvellir National Park. Þingvellir is the home of Iceland's first parliament, Alþing.

The Golden Iceland Retreat package is a nature-packed and luxurious adventure that combines relaxation with some of the country’s most beautiful sights.

Day 2Welcome to Iceland!

Book your FlyBus Airport Transfers in advance for the transfer to your Reykjavik hotel. Check in at your hotel in Reykjavik; standard check-in times in Iceland begin at 2pm. If you arrive prior to your hotel's check-in time, be sure to inquire on arrival if an early check-in is available. If not, hotels generally can store your bags while you take a stroll and explore and enjoy the Nordic vibe of the world’s northernmost capital.

The rest of the day is open to you! Explore Reykjavík and find out what makes it so charming. Consider the Hop On Hop Off city sightseeing tour, including stops at Perlan, the Old Harbour, the National Museum of Iceland, Hallgrímskirkja, the Kringlan Shopping Mall and more!
In the evening, prepare for your search on the Northern Lights by Boat tour, departing from Reykjavík harbor. Every tour is unique and the viewing areas are both outside and inside so make sure to dress warm.

Please Note: If your tour is cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions, or your tour operates as scheduled without any northern lights sightings, you have the option of joining the tour the following night for free (subject to availability). If your tour is cancelled due to weather conditions and you’re unable to reschedule, you may request a full refund for the included northern lights tour only.

Day 3Today will be a Golden one

Today you venture out on the Laugarás lagoon and Golden Circle tour, including a dip in the new geothermal retreat, Laugarás lagoon with hot and cold bathing areas, a soothing sauna, quiet relaxation zones and on-site dining. You´ll have around 2.5 hours to enjoy the lagoon, with the option to grab lunch at Ylja, the on-site restaurant.
You also stop at the world-famous Geysir geothermal area with exploding geysers and pools of mud bubble. You’ll visit the breathtaking Gullfoss, the queen of Iceland's waterfalls, and finally, but no less spectacular is a visit to the Þingvellir National Park, the original site of the world’s oldest existing parliament. The Great Atlantic rift is clearly visible in the park, slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates.

Day 4A day at your own leisure

Customize your trip with engaging day tours, from the ethereal waters of the Blue Lagoon to snowmobiling on Icelandic glaciers or going on a Reykjavík food Lovers Tour.
You’ll also have time to enjoy the cozy cafes and lively local nightlife that Reykjavik is so famous for.
