The Golden Circle Tour is an absolute must while in Iceland. You'll visit the country's three iconic natural treasures: Þingvellir National Park, where the American and Eurasian plates have been pulling apart; the erupting geyser that sends water and steam spouting skywards; and the spectacular Gullfoss Waterfall where a glacial river thunders 32 meters into a canyon.

You'll also visit the Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Spa & Wellness Center for some much-needed relaxation time! The original sauna was built in the 1920s with little more than a shack with two compartments, built above the hot spring that bubbles and gurgles below the ground. Today, a modern complex welcomes you to relax with various hot tubs and steam baths naturally heated by Icelandic hot springs. The Fontana includes three geothermally heated baths, a sauna, a warm sand beach, and access to the pristine waters of Laugarvatn. A visit to the open-air baths will also give you the opportunity to experience the beautiful countryside with its mountains, lakes and lava fields. Admission to Fontana is included, but remember to bring your towel and swimsuit, as they are not included with admission (but are available for rental)!
