Akureyri International Airport

Akureyri International Airport is an international airport situated on the flats at the mouth of the river Eyjafjardara south of Akureyri. The airport was taken into use in 1954.

Domestic flights: Passengers should arrive at least 45 minutes before departure. 

International flights: Passengers should arrive at least 90 minutes before departure from domestic airports.

Check-in closes 15 minutes before departure for domestic flights.
