Saga Premium

Changes are allowed for a change fee, and fare difference may apply. All changes are subject to availability and must be made before departure of the originally scheduled flight.

Changing the whole trip
If your ticket comprises a domestic flight in Iceland and an international flight, and you are changing both flight legs, the international flight change fee applies. If you are changing only the domestic flight leg, change fee for domestic travel in Iceland applies.

If your ticket comprises flights in Economy Standard and Saga Premium and you are changing both flight legs at the same time, the Saga Premium change fee applies. If you are changing only one part of the flight, the change fee of the relevant fare applies.

Change fee is charged per ticket and based on the country where the journey with Icelandair begins.

Flying between Iceland and Europe when your travel originates in:
Iceland: ISK 35000
United Kingdom: GBP 200
Other European countries: EUR 250

Flying between Iceland and North America and your travel originates in:
USA: USD 300
Canada: CAD 350
Iceland: ISK 40000

Flying between North America and Europe and your travel originates in:
USA: USD 350
Canada: CAD 450
United Kingdom: GBP 300
Other European countries: EUR 350

This fare is non-refundable (including any carrier imposed surcharges). Unused government and/or airport taxes are refundable (note that this does not include the booking fee, which is non-refundable).

Cancellation within 24 hours
If you book a ticket through Icelandair's booking channels, you can cancel the ticketed reservation without penalty and receive a refund if the reservation is made more than 2 days prior to the scheduled flight departure and is cancelled within 24 hours after purchasing (Holiday Package bookings included). Please note:

• these conditions do not apply to group bookings of 10 or more.
• splitting the booking between passengers is not an option as the entire booking must be canceled.
• domestic flight tickets in Iceland cannot be refunded if there are less than 12 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure at the time of booking.
• the issued refund will exclude the ticketing fee (if applicable).

Cancellation of an upgraded fare
If a Saga Premium fare is upgraded to a Saga Premium Flex fare, the non-refundable terms of the original fare still apply, and only the difference paid for the Flex upgrade can be refunded.

If you are unable to travel on your first scheduled flight, you must change your booking by contacting our service center no later than 3 hours before departure.

Notifying us is not enough. You must complete the change to your booking before the 3-hour deadline.

Fees may apply depending on your fare type. Applicable fees and fare differences will be provided before the change is confirmed. A list of possible fees can be found here.

If your booking is not changed in time, it will be treated as a no-show and all remaining flights in the booking will be automatically cancelled. No-show tickets are non-refundable and cannot be used later. 

Please enter passenger name exactly as it appears in their current passports (i.e., do not use nicknames or abbreviations).

Name changes or ticket transfers (for example, Mary Smith to John Fraser) are not permitted, except for legal name change reasons (such as gender reassignment or name changes due to marriage).

No discount for children 2-11 years old.

Infants under 2 without seat get 75% discount on the fare, not including fuel surcharges, taxes or other fees.

When booking a business class with another airline on the same ticket, a business class cabin may not be available with the other carrier due to limitations of the aircraft type. In such case, you will be booked in the highest economy class.

Fare downgrade is not available.

When your journey includes flights operated by other airlines, your travel experience may differ from Icelandair-operated flights. We recommend familiarizing yourself with the rules and procedures of the partner airline you are flying with. Here is what to look out for: 

Extras such as Saga Premium seating, seat selection, pre-ordered meals, in-flight food and entertainment, and additional assistance may not be provided by the partner airline.  

Please note that not all partner airlines offer premium cabins or the same amenities on their flights. Check with the partner airline to see which services are available. 

Baggage policies may vary when traveling with multiple airlines. Please verify the carry-on allowances, as well as size and weight restrictions, for each airline before your trip.

Lounge access, the earning of Saga Points, and Tier Credits may be limited or unavailable on partner flights. 

When in doubt, use your booking reference to manage your booking with each airline. 

The following rules apply to all tickets booked from August 10, 2026.

Checked baggage allowance: 1 × 32 kg (70 lbs) checked bag.

Seat selection: subject to a fee. Passengers who do not select a seat upon booking get a seat allocated for free when checking in to their flight.
