Team Iceland Stopover

The Icelandic Men’s National Football Team debuted in the World Cup finals in Russia 2018. 350,000 Icelanders united in strong support, with the fabled Viking Clap resounding all over Iceland.

We are proud sponsors of the team and offered our passengers the chance to experience this momentous occasion with us on a Team Iceland Stopover. In May and June our passengers could apply for a special 90-minute Iceland-inspired football experience, co-created for passengers by the players.

Iceland’s World Cup campaign is now over, as is Icelandair's Team Iceland Stopover. We had a ball and we’re so proud of our team, but now it’s time for a break. You can read more about the campaign here.
