Icelandair is Europe's Most Punctual Airline

Icelandair is Europe’s most punctual airline within the AEA, Association of European airlines, in international flight in September.

Icelandair was the most punctual of all airlines in long haul flights in September with 92.5% on time performance. Icelandair also topped the list in medium &short range flights with 93.9% on time performance.
Out of 25 International airlines measured, 93.5% of Icelandair’s flights were on time putting them in first place.

Furthermore, the Association of European airlines (AEA) who monitors data regularly on behalf of members punctuality confirm Icelandair tops the list in punctuality of long haul flights in 2012 with 90.7% on time performance.

“Good on time performance is an essential part of Icelandair’s service and it is always a pleasure to get a confirmation on how well we are doing in comparison with larger and better known airlines in Europe. We have expanded our network recently through our hub in Keflavik and our staff carried out the task brilliantly” says Birkir Hólm Guðnason, CEO of Icelandair.
