Iceland Northern Lights Getaway

Book your Iceland adventure today from $649* for this fall and winter

When you travel to Iceland there are two must-see excursions you simply can NOT miss, and this Icelandair package offer – including round-trip airfare and three nights hotel - brings you to both!

Spend time exploring Iceland’s gorgeous capital city of Reykjavík before an evening with fellow travellers in search of the Northern Lights. Also known as the Aurora Borealis, this interaction of particles from the sun with the upper atmosphere near the North Pole creates a jaw-dropping display of colors rippling across the night sky high above the Icelandic countryside.

The following day you’ll head out mid-morning on the Golden Circle Direct tour to venture one of the country’s most magnificent regions, including the majestic waterfall Gullfoss, the Geyser geothermal area, and Iceland’s historical national park, Thingvellir.

Want to stay longer? Book up to four additional nights to explore even more of the land of fire & ice with unforgettable day tours that bring you to popular destinations like the Blue Lagoonwhale watching, and much more!

Welcome to Iceland! Check in to your Reykjavík hotel before exploring the charm and allure of the city’s Old Town and soaking in the Nordic vibe of the world’s northernmost capital. There's plenty of fantastic restaurants to grab a bite to eat, and we highly recommend checking out the day tours available for booking, including whale watching, horse riding, city tours and much more!

Tonight’s the night! Get in a full day of adventures before the evening Northern Lights Hunt. Mother Nature will of course decide the best viewing location, so you may see the auroras right above the city or perhaps from the middle of a lava field an hour's drive into the countryside! Every tour is unique, which is part of the adventure. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon of course, and their appearance cannot be guaranteed.

Please Note: On the day of your tour, please check with your hotel reception/tour desk if the tour is operating. If the weather conditions are not favorable and the tour is cancelled you will be given the option to rebook, subject to availability.

Head out on the Golden Circle Direct tour for a visit to the legendary Geysir geothermal area, a field of abundant hot springs, exploding geysers and bubbling mud pools. Plus, you’ll see the breath-taking Gullfoss, the queen of Iceland's waterfalls, and a visit to the Thingvellir National Park, the original site of the world’s oldest existing parliament. Hotel pick up at 10:00am.

Before heading to Keflavík Airport for your return flight on Icelandair, get up early to explore Reykjavík, grab some brunch or some last-minute shopping for friends and family, or yourself! Be sure to reserve your seat on the Flybus airport transfer with hotel reception the day prior.
